Product Description

Artist: Charlotte Miller

Artist Profile: My name is Charlotte Miller and I am an elementary art teacher at Cottage Grove School.  I am so thankful that I get to share my love of art with my students!

A children’s museum would be a great asset to the Sun Prairie and surrounding communities!  Children’s museums offer memorable, immersive learning and offer creative and authentic experiences for children.  Sun Prairie is already such a family-oriented community, and a children’s museum would be well-utilized and appreciated!

Though we live in Cottage Grove, family and I frequently utilize Sun Prairie’s businesses, library, and parks.  We always feel welcome in the community!  We also have family and friends who live in Sun Prairie.

Art is so important in childhood!  Allowing children to use their imagination and develop their creativity fosters communication, observation skills, focus, discipline, and self-expression, just to name a few of the benefits!

This bench is made up of fingerprints- it is a nature scene filled with wildflowers, birds, caterpillars, butterflies, and ladybugs- what I see so much of in beautiful Sun Prairie!  I included the quote “Our fingerprints never fade from the lives we touch.”  Just like the new children’s museum’s fingerprints will never fade from the lives of the children who visit it!
